Scan and NVIDIA Gaming Tournament. Saturday, 1st June

What better way to celebrate the 1st of June and arrival of our long-awaited British summer than by joining Scan and NVIDIA for a day of gaming tournaments at our Bolton showroom?

Attendees will also get to meet NVIDIA’s latest and greatest graphics card, the 3GB GeForce GTX 780. This new card will make your games run faster and look better than ever before while keeping your gaming PC whisper quiet. As NVIDIA’s official launch partner in the UK, you’ll also be to pick up your own GTX 780 from Scan at the tournament.

Be the first in the UK to get hands on with SHIELD, the Android-based gaming device that can also stream games straight from your GeForce powered PC. Clever, eh? Scan and NVIDIA staff will be on hand throughout the day to talk about the greatest hobby in the world, and to showcase some great demos of upcoming titles and in-game technology.

IN STORE GAMING TOURNAMENT

The day will kick off at 10.40am with rounds of CS:G0 (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) deathmatch. Each round will last 20 minutes – the winners will then compete against each other at 4:40pm in a final round to win a grand prize of £1,000.

Cobra simulation GRID 2. Think you got the dirving skills? Get the fastest lap of the day and you could win big! We will be running a time trial competition on the cobra starting at 11am and finishing at 4pm. This will consist of a single try at a specified track however each player can have as many goes as they want throughout the day.

During the day, you’ll also be able to play a variety of games on Scan's range of award-winning 3XS gaming PCs and laptops.

ONLINE TOURNAMENT - NVIDIA CUP

Scan & NVIDIA bring you top League of Legends action with an invitational tournament with 8 of the best challenger teams from across Europe and the UK. Point your web browser to www.twitch.tv/readyuptv between 11am and 8pm on Saturday the 1st June to watch the best compete to win a share of the 3000 prize pool! Teams competing for the 1,200 first place prize include Ozone Giants, Anexis esports, Heimerdingers Collossai, Team Dignitas UK and more!

The UK's premier gaming clan, Team Dignitas, will also be around to pitch your skills against, as well as to offer tips and tricks to improve your gaming.
