" How can you possibly charge me over £24 for 8 cable combs weighing barely 50g?(delivered to Northern Ireland) Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom so can someone please tell me why it costs more to post the items, than the items actually cost to buy in the first place? Is there no option to choose 2nd class mail to get them posted to me? Do 8 cable combs really need £10s worth of courier charges??? "

Scan's Action

" Thank you for your email and comments,

I apologise you felt you were unable to order with SCAN on this occasion. DPD charge us extra for the two day service to Northern Ireland areas. DPD have to use an outside agent to deliver as they don't have the density of deliveries to make it cost effective to set up their own DPD depot there.

Hence the additional cost that unfortunately we have to pass on to our customers.

My understanding is that this agent delivers on behalf of most of the major carriers in the UK so I would think most of them will have a higher charge for these areas.

Take care and all the best,

Kind Regards "
