" I asked about an external drive I just bought which Windows Explorer didn't recognise. He suggested deleting the volume, which I daren't do until he suggested it in case it wrecked the drive. He then rang off. I deleted the volume and a message said the drive hadn't been formatted by Windows, which, it turns out, is why it didn't work. The option to create a simple volume then appeared (which wasn't there before) so I did that, and the drive now works. Thank you so much, I'm now a happy bunny! "
